Everyones favorite chinese smart device manufactorer Huawei has announced their new operating system: HongmengOS, also known as HarmonyOS.
Modularized, open source operating system developed by them since 2012 aimed to be Android alternative.
New operating system will also take off major amount of pressure from Huawei with possible US sanctions effecting them in the future too.
Sanctions would not have any effect on using this operating system.
According to Huawei HarmonyOS is

Cross-platform support includes smartphones, smartwatches, computers and other smart apparel and virtually any iot-devices you could possibly think of.
This is very interesting move from Huawei with all the recent accusations on spying – releasing the new operating system as Open Source will do wonders to alleviate
any possible concerns and call the “they’re spying” accusation bluff quite majorly.
